This Weekend | Gran Nit de Juliol Lights Up Valencia

Weekend Edition · July 16–19, 2026 · Published Friday, July 16, 2026

Buen Finde! This is Gran Nit weekend — the biggest night on the Feria de Julio calendar, with fireworks over the Pont dels Serrans and museums staying open (and free) until midnight across the city. IVAM opens a new sculpture exhibition worth a look, and Les Arts’ immersive Cabaret closes for good. One practical note before you head out: the ongoing heat wave is disrupting outdoor concert schedules, so check ahead if you’re heading to a show this weekend.

Festivals & Holidays

Saturday is Gran Nit de Juliol, the marquee night of Feria de Julio, bringing open-air concerts, street performances, and a fireworks display at the Pont dels Serrans. Many of the city’s museums and art spaces are also opening free of charge until midnight for the occasion, with special activities laid on — a quieter way to spend the evening if the crowds around the fireworks aren’t your scene. The wider Feria de Julio programme, with nearly 300 free events running across the city through the end of July, is available in full online.

Live Music

Valencia’s summer concert calendar is in full swing, with CaixaForum’s Noches de Verano continuing inside the Agora (mostly free, with jazz on the bill next week), alongside the International Jazz Festival and Conciertos de Viveros. Worth knowing before you buy tickets: the current heat wave, expected to persist for several more days, has already forced a postponement of UB40’s Viveros show — check the venue’s page before heading out for any of these.
