Pont de Valencia | Summer Reset
August is here. The siestas run long, and the whole city slows into its annual heat hibernation. As any Valencia resident will tell you, nothing gets done in August.
So, we’re taking a break for the month—no news or features until September. But behind the scenes, we’ll be busy preparing for our biggest update since Pont de Valencia launched.
Here’s what to expect this fall.
New design
A brand new look is coming, making our news, features, Community Calendar and Community Directory easier to explore and use.
New contributors
This year we’ve welcomed contributors from across the city, sharing everything from food and fashion to family life in Valencia. This fall, we plan to bring you more local voices and perspectives.
Memberships and sponsorships
We’re also introducing memberships and sponsorship opportunities to help support the next chapter of Pont de Valencia. We’ll be sharing more details soon.
A simpler WhatsApp Community
Our WhatsApp Community has grown into one of Valencia’s most helpful spaces for international residents. As it’s grown, so has the noise—and unfortunately, the spam.
So from September we’re introducing a simpler, more useful way to stay connected.

We will have three dedicated community spaces on WhatsApp
Ask the Community recommendations, advice and local knowledge.
Meet-ups & Socials finding people and discovering community events.

The rest of the special-interest WhatsApp groups will close in September as we make the transition.

Our social events are where the Pont de Valencia community comes together in person, and we’re looking forward to organising more of them throughout the season ahead.
