This Weekend: Gran Feria de Julio, Jazz Festival & Summer Concerts

Buen finde! The Gran Feria de Julio rolls on with circus and magic shows free in the city’s parks and plazas this weekend, and the summer concert calendar is in full swing across the Marina, Viveros, and the Palau de la Música. Festivals & Holidays
The Gran Feria de Julio continues citywide through 31 July, with daily events across the city alongside the fairground in the Turia. This weekend the programme focuses on circus and magic shows in Valencia’s parks and plazas — free to attend, no booking needed. The two unmissable dates ahead: the Gran Nit de Juliol on 18 July with free concerts and fireworks at Puente de Serranos, and the Batalla de las Flores on 26 July on the Paseo de la Alameda. Live Music
The Valencia International Jazz Festival continues at Palau de la Música in El Pla del Real through 26 July. This week’s highlight is Gospel Factory, bringing gospel music to the festival for the first time. Tickets required; see the Palau website for the full programme.
The summer concert series at Jardines Viveros in La Saïdia continues through 25 July. This week’s acts include Tony Hadley and UB40. Tickets required.
FAR Valencia is now open at Marina Norte and runs through 31 July — an open-air concert series with an eclectic international lineup including Rubén Blades, Belle & Sebastian, and Rick Astley. Tickets required; check the website for individual show dates.
The CCCC Piano Festival runs free evening concerts in the Gothic and Renaissance cloisters of the Centre del Carme in El Carmen, through 16 July. No booking required.

Theatre & Performance
Cabaret runs at Les Arts through 19 July, with the Sala Principal transformed into the Kit Kat Club for this Spanish-language production. Non-Spanish speakers familiar with the songs should find plenty to enjoy.

IVAM has opened a new exhibition on L’Albufera, running through 18 October — photographs, artworks, and archival documents exploring Valencia’s coastal lagoon. €5 entry, no booking required.

Outdoor cinema continues across the city through July. La Rambleta and La Nau are screening classic films from directors including Woody Allen and Stanley Kubrick, and the CTAV architecture school is running a parallel programme of screenings and talks focused on cities and urban landscapes.
