Valencia Weekend: Food, Music, and Charity Highlights

The holiday season is kicking off, and Valencia’s cultural program is in full swing! This weekend’s events range from food festivals to free concerts, with many raising funds for flood recovery efforts. I’ll be adding more upcoming events in the calendar but here are some weekend highlights:

? Mercado Colón: Festive Food and Charity

Saturday, 23 November: Valencia Cava Fair

  • Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Valencia’s Cava Fair with 6,000 solidarity toasts accompanied by delicious tapas. Proceeds will be going to help the recovery of Aldaia market that was damaged in the floods.
  • When: 12:00–15:00 & 19:00–22:00
  • Tickets: €20 for four cava tastings and tapas, available on-site.

Sunday, 24 November: Premium Jamón Carving

  • Enjoy the artistry of 60 master carvers serving and selling premium jamón for charity.
  • When: 11:30–15:30
  • Tickets: Available on-site.

? Ruta de la Tapa Vegana

Vegetarian food lovers, rejoice! This weekend marks the return of the annual festival of vegetarian tapas. Follow a route of 25 participating venues across Valencia offering special plates starting at just €2.

? Music Highlights

Palau de la Música: Valencia Symphony Orchestra

  • What: Free concert featuring the Valencia Symphony Orchestra.
  • When: Sunday, 24 November, 11:30
  • Where: Iturbi Hall, Palau de la Música.
  • Tickets: Free, but space is limited. Reserve your spot here.

Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas: Memorial Concert

  • What: A concert in memory of flood victims, featuring the CEU Cardenal Herrera University Choral Society and Chamber Orchestra.
  • When: Sunday, 24 November (time TBA).
  • Tickets: Free, but reservation required via email. More details here.

? Contemporary Dance at the CCCC

The Carmen Contemporary Cultural Centre hosts Migrats Dansa, a showcase of emerging young choreographers.

  • When: Saturday & Sunday, 12:00
