New Year’s Celebrations in Valencia

Valencia is gearing up to ring in the New Year with festivities at Plaza del Ayuntamiento! ? Here’s everything you need to know to plan your celebration.

Weather Alert

Keep in mind that Aemet predicts rain on December 31st, which could lead to last-minute changes in programming. Stay tuned for updates from the local authorities.

Family-Friendly Day Program

The celebrations kick off with a special program for children starting at 11:00 AM. This free event offers plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, including:

  • Face painting
  • Balloon animals
  • Circus acts
  • Music

Bring the family and enjoy a festive atmosphere in the heart of Valencia!

Evening Program: Midnight Celebration and Solidarity

The evening festivities are both a celebration of the New Year and a moment to reflect on the October flood disaster.

Access Information

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento will close to traffic at 9:00 PM. Entry for attendees begins at 10:00 PM through five designated access points:

  • Marqués de Sotelo
  • Passeig de Russafa
  • Correos
  • Barques
  • María Cristina

Midnight Celebration

From 10:30 PM, DJs will set the mood with music leading up to midnight. Highlights include:

  • Free LED light sticks and plastic cups for a communal toast.
  • A spectacular fireworks display after the traditional 12 chimes.

In addition to the main event at the Plaza, fireworks will light up three other locations in the city:

  • Torres de Serranos
  • Alameda Station Fairground
  • City of Arts and Sciences

Transportation Tips
