Also, Saturday night’s 15K Nocturna run closes streets from the Marina to Mestalla, the Old City and Les Arts from 10:30pm, so check your plans if you’re out.

After a contested election period, the 2027 Fallera Court will be announced at a gala in the Roig Arena this weekend, with the venue dressed as a Roman temple for the occasion. Several neighbourhoods close out the summer fiesta season this weekend, with market stalls, activities and fireworks. San Marcelino and Campanar both hold their fiestas.

Visorfest 2026 takes over Marina Norte this weekend. The Manic Street Preachers headline a programme with a strong British line-up. Tickets are required.

Saxophonist Tim Ries, a long-time touring member of The Rolling Stones, and flamenco guitarist Rafael Riqueni open the new Els Concerts a la Fundació series with their jazz-flamenco programme Tunisia. It plays Friday 25 September at 8pm in the Fundación Bancaja auditorium, and tickets are sold through the foundation’s website. Valencia Plaza has a preview.

If dancing is a must this weekend, veteran bassist Nik West plays 16 Toneladas on Friday, delivering a shot of high-energy funk, soul, and R&B.

Theatre & Performance
In culture news: The Teatro Principal, the oldest surviving theatre in the city, was abruptly closed indefinitely after failing a technical audit. One inspector described the building as a “rat trap”, citing ageing infrastructure and faulty emergency exits. Some shows have moved to Les Arts and other venues, and the theatre’s future is unclear.

The Bucles (Loops) dance festival returns with workshops and performances by local and international artists, running until 10 October. Paris-based Oktawia ?cibior and Samory Ba, who work with roller skates and crutches to develop new forms of movement, are among the visiting acts.

Valencirc, the city’s circus arts festival, opens this weekend with dozens of free performances across Valencia and runs until 12 October. Russafa Escènica ends on Sunday, so it is the last chance to catch a show.

Abierto Valencia closes this weekend. Several galleries were shut this week for a Madrid exhibition, so check with each gallery before visiting.
Valencia Design Fest is still going strong. As part of the design fest, Feria Habitat Valencia 2026 starts on Mondya at the Feria convention center with exhibitions, workshops and show-cooking events.

Manises hosts Ceràmica Oberta this weekend. The festival highlights the town’s ceramic craft history and has a full programme of workshops for adults and children.

Running season is back, and with it street closures. The 15K Nocturna starts at 10:30pm on Saturday 26 September and loops through the city’s main avenues, from the Marina to Mestalla, through the Old City and Les Arts, and back to the Marina. Check your travel plans if you’re out that evening.
