The day after Halloween may be a recovery day for some but you better get your shopping done beforehand. Todos Los Santos is a Spanish national holiday and many stores, including supermarkets and municipal markets, will be closed. It’s a relatively quiet holiday in Valencia. No mascletá or parades. Traditionally, families would go to the cemetery to remember lost loved ones, followed by a gathering with food and drink. If you are lucky, you might get some traditional sweets such as buñuelos de vientos (fried dough balls with sugar), panellets (sweet pine nut balls) or huesos de santos (marzipan rolls with sweet egg yolk filling).
