The weekend Plan: Animal Parade and good weather.

Saturday: Animal Parade for San Antoni Abad
Kids love animals—and what better excuse than watching them parade through the city? The San Antoni Abad celebration is one of those quietly charming traditions: farm animals, beloved pets, and owners lining up for a blessing.
Superstitious religious fanfare? Maybe.
But it’s also beautiful—and honestly, having all the gods on your side to keep your furry friends healthy for many years doesn’t sound like a bad idea at all.
The parade runs along C/ Maximiliano Thous and C/ Ministro Luis Mayans, finishing at the Iglesia de San Antoni Abad (C/ Sagunt, 188).
Once it’s over, keep walking towards Parque de Marxalenes—a lovely area for a relaxed stroll, with a fantastic playground and plenty of safe space for bikes, scooters, and all those essential kiddy vehicles.
And if hunger strikes, Gato Blanco is about a 12-minute walk away (realistically, a bit longer with children). Don’t forget to make a reservation ahead.
