A Thank You Note, After Friday.

Last Friday, we gathered around art, conversation, a few tapas (and great buns!), and cava to support Pont de Valencia in its new endeavors. We invited our community to join us, and they did.
Now, on a quiet Sunday, it feels like the right moment to look back — and to say thank you.
This event was born as a fundraiser for Pont de Valencia, but what unfolded went far beyond that. Artists brought their work and their presence, and conversations stretched naturally. Art was not only displayed, but lived through shared moments by all of us there.
For those who joined us, supported the art sale, spoke with the artists, or simply chose to spend a Friday evening with us: thank you. These gestures — attending, supporting, engaging — are what allow a platform like Pont de Valencia to exist and grow as a space where community is lived.
Thanks to the artists who trusted us with their work, the husbands who encouraged and supported, the friends who stopped by to give us a pat on the shoulder, Markus, for allowing us to redecorate his Cafe and keep our cava chilled, Theresa, from Air Valencia, for being there with us until the very last moment, and to everyone who helped turn this gathering into something real.
I’m proud of us. Atika and Me. We opened up the event with many questions still unresolved, and trusting the higher order of things to show us the way as we went in. We took a cold plunge, and it turned out we swam to shore alive and exhilarated by the experience.
These photos hold fragments of that moment — and of what Pont de Valencia is slowly becoming, together.
