What’s On This Weekend: Holiday Markets & Christmas Concerts!

Buen Finde! Holiday shopping is in full swing across Valencia, with even more Christmas markets, fairs, and music events opening this weekend — plus plenty of family-friendly holiday fun. Here’s what’s happening. I’ll also be putting out a special feature on Christmas Events for more seasonal resources.

Holiday Events

Christmas Fireworks mini-show continues on Saturday at 18:30 in Plaza del Ayuntamiento, alongside the carousel and ice-skating rink.

Christmas Train
Five different routes are now running through the commercial district. Full schedule and routes

Christmas Circus & Fairs
Traditional circus acts return with acrobats, clowns, and themed performances across the city. The Marina hosts both the Christmas Fair and Gran Circo WOW until early January. List of Christmas Circuses

Christmas Markets

Top Pick: Les Arts Christmas Market & Fair opens on Saturday. It’s a good market for kids with arts and crafts workshops alongside Christmas holiday treats. As it gets closer to Christmas, there will also be a Casa de Papa Noel for Santa wishlists.

Carena Charity Market at  Plaça del Miracle del Mocadoret on Saturday — handmade crafts, sweets, and solidarity gifts.

Christmas Artisan Market runs this weekend at Casa de Patraix, along with a Country Line Dancing workshop.

Loco Club Vinyl Record Fest on Sunday — not exactly Christmas, but perhaps the perfect gift for the music obsessive.

1€ Flea Market returns to Plaza Santiago Suárez on Sunday with new vendors.

Benimaclet Christmas Market is also on Sunday with original designs, arts and crafts.

Art

Top Pick: Valencia’s Contemporary Arts Museum, IVAM, is opening a new immersive exhibition of works from Andrea Canepa on Thursday evening with a presentation by the artist. Titled Entre lo profundo y lo distante, this exhibition transforms spaces with metal and fabric for visitors to explore.

Centro del Carmen opens La Transformació de València (1866–2026), featuring major city milestones and artwork impacted by the 2024 DANA floods.

Music

Festive Fusion Winter Showcase by Berklee students at Nave Ribes on Friday evening in Parc Central.

La Nau – Urban Concert Series continues Friday night with local pop quartet Trena.

Free Chamber Music Recital at Mercado del Grao on Saturday at 11:00.

Free Christmas Concert at Palau de la Música on Saturday, featuring traditional dance and choir. Tickets available at the box office on Saturday from 10:00.

At La Rambleta, the UMH Orchestra + Sant Marcel·lí Choir performs a free Christmas concert. Also on Sunday, Latin Grammy-nominated salsa band Plena 79 returns for a special performance.

Dance & Theater

Top Pick: God of Carnage — the final play reading of the year from English Theatre Valencia and Acting in English on Friday. Space is limited in this interactive event, where attendees take part in the reading. If there’s no space this time around, get on their mailing list or follow them on Instagram for the next one.

Free Tango Dance and Performance at CCCC on Friday for International Tango Day.

Multiperspectivas #3 at Carme Teatre — a blend of dance, acrobatics, and theatre.

Balls al Carrer, the traditional Valencian dance series, continues on Sunday by Mercado Central.

Kids

Family ABBA Sing-Along at CaixaForum on Friday — a fun alternative to traditional Christmas carols.

That’s all for this weekend! I’ll post any late additions on WhatsApp. And stay tuned for the full guide to holiday events coming soon.
